Fraker examines the style of the Libro de Alexandre, a medieval Spanish epic, and shows how it reflects the influence of Latin poets of the Silver Age, including Ovid and Lucan. He includes an analysis of two other medieval epics, the Trojan War of Joseph of Exeter and the Alexandreis of Gautier de Châtillon.
