Inaugural Triad Farm Tour is June 7 and 8

Here’s some exciting news! Our friends at Carolina Farm Stewardship Association have added a new farm tour to its growing list – this time in the Triad.

The first annual Triad Farm Tour is June 7 and 8 from 2 to 6 p.m. each day, rain or shine. The tour is self-guided and farms and sites are located throughout the Triad. The inaugural tour features 17 scenic and sustainable farms in Guilford, Forsyth, Alamance, Stokes, Surry and Yadkin counties, including several cities and communities, such as Yadkinville, Pinnacle, Burlington, Pleasant Garden, Liberty and Snow Camp.

Tour tickets, good for both days, are $25 per vehicle in advance. On the tour dates, tickets will be $30 per vehicle, or people can choose to pay $10 per farm (available for purchase at all of the farms during the tour). Groups of cyclists count as one vehicle (yay!).

Tickets can be bought at Deep Roots in Greensboro, Burlington Company Shops in Burlington or Cobblestone Farmers Market in Winston-Salem.

Tickets and information about each of the stops on the tour are also available online at www.carolinafarmstewards.org/tft.

So load up a car with your friends and family, choose the farms you’d like to visit and get out in the countryside! Don’t forget to take a cooler so that you can take home some of the farm fresh products for sale at many farms!

  1. Thanks for sharing! We’re on the tour and looking forward to it!

  2. You know, we are going to be opening a restaurant as a part of the new and improved Windsor Boutique Hotel in Downtown Asheville. I think that going on one of these tours would be a great way for our staff to improve their knowledge of the farm fresh ingredients that are locally available.
